ANNUAL COMMUNITY / HOLIDAY PARTIES
BNA has always felt a need to bring the community together and celebrate the holidays as one.


2021 Childrens Holiday Party
December 2021. BNA invited local low income children to our office for a Childrens Holiday Party. There were goodies and fun. Every child walked out with a gift from Con Edison. BNA would like to thank Con Edison and their representative Roy Tucker for their generous toy donations. BNA would also like to thank our Volunteer Elves: Pat Singer (Founder Executive Director), Kristina Yiannaki (Elf), Zoraida Diaz (Elf), Laura Singer (Elf), Craig Hammerman (Elf) & Maria Neives (Elf). We would also like to thank Assembly Woman Mathylde Frontus for coming by and helping to distribute the Toys.

BNA would like to thank Sunshine Daycare and Maria Neives for making this possible. We would also like to thank Fidelas Cares for providing the entertainment, and Con Edison for providing the gifts for all, as well as our staff


2018 Senior Holiday Party
December 2018. BNA held a Senior Holiday Party at the JASA Senior Alliance Senior Center. There was food, fun and entertainment. Every senior was given a walk in gift bag and a gift. May 2018. BNA put on a Spring Dance for our local seniors. BNA also celebrated their 41st Birthday with the crowd. BNA would like to thank JASA Senior Alliance Senior Center and their staff for providing the space, as well as BNA staff Pat Singer, Kristina Yiannaki, Richie Garcia, Victor Severin, Board members Sherry Falcone and Barbara Prince, volunteer Michael Ceasrio and our DJ Peter Joseph.

2012 Community Holiday Party
  12/13/12 It was an amazing crowd. We had a minimum of 500 people about 200 were children. Of the children attending this party, many were directly affected by Hurricane Sandy, their homes were flooded and their school temporarily closed. We were pleased to give them something to smile about.

12/15/2011 BNA held it’s Annual Community Holiday Party. Thanks to the help of local businesses and volunteer’s, BNA was able to give every person who attended a gift and provide them with a relaxing night of music, food and refreshments.

BNA's gift to our community. The young and the old of Brighton Beah come to our free holiday party to celebrate our multi-cultures. 300 attended our party and each received a gift bag donated from our local storeowners. For the past 40 years BNA's Executive Director Pat Singer and Staff welcome the new officers of the 60th Precinct. In our talks with these officers we try to increase their understanding of the neighborhood. even teaching them a few conversational words.

  BNA has also been recognized for their valuable contribution to the development and implementation of the Streetwise Cultural Diversity Training Curriculum at a ceremony at One police Plaza. 
  In Sept 2012 Two of our finest came to visit BNA, Detective Nevandro and P.O. Tommy Hopkins, this gave us an opportunity to give them a plaque thanking them, Inspector Deblasio, Lt. James Woods and the men and women of the 60th Precinct who helped make our 2012 Jubilee safe and successful. Truthfully, they make us feel safe every day. They are our first line of defense. God bless them all.



YEARLY THANKSGIVING GIVEAWAY
For the past 20 years with the help of various donations BNA has helped to distribute Turkeys.


2021 Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution
November 17, 2021. BNA had asked local area markets and businesses for Turkey Donations in order for us to help provide a Happy Thanksgiving for those residents in need. NetCost Market once again answered our request, along with MetroPlus and Fidelas Cares. In total we supplied over 200 low income residents with a free Turkey or Voucher. BNA would like to thank NetCost Market - Yuliya Khasdan & Staff, as well as MetroPlus Health - Levan Bochorishvilli & Staff for their donation of turkeys and Fidelas Cares - Leonid Kopeykin for their donation of food vouchers. BNA would also like to thank the team who helped to distribute and organize the event: Pat Singer (Executive Director), Maria Nieves (Board Member), Kristina (Staff), Zoraida (Staff), Jerene Murphy (Pat’s Sister) & Friends, as well as NY Consumer Affairs / Worker’s Right’s Michelle Velez who helped distribute. We would also like to thank Chase Bank’s Branch Manager Alex Korniyenko & Staff for allowing us to use the bank space for distribution. Last but not least, we would like to thank Michael Beitchman for the photos.

NetCost Market once again answered our request, along with Fidelas Cares, Steven Sapperstein and MetroPlus. In total we supplied over 300 low income residents with a free Turkey or Voucher. BNA would like to thank their staff for organizing and executing a perfect distribution and for NetCost Market, Fidelas Cares, Steven Sapperstein and MetroPlus for providing the turkeys and vouchers.

November 2014 BNA had asked local area markets and businesses for Turkey Donations in order for us to help provide a Happy Thanksgiving for those residents in need. Gourmanoff answered our request, along with Fidelas Cares and one of BNA's Board Members Jack Meersand. In total we supplied over 170 low income residents with a free Turkey. BNA would like to thank their staff for organizing and executing a perfect distribution and for Gourmanoff, Fidelas and Jack for providing the turkeys.
